NCBA Bank sponsored the Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Conference 2025 which took place on May 8th. The conference is an initiative by Nation Media Group in partnership with the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation.
Held under the theme Sustainable Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation Management Solutions. This is aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal six, which seeks to ensure access to water and sanitation for all.
The conference brought together key stakeholders, including Cabinet Secretary Eng. Eric Mugaa and Geoffrey Odundo, GMD & CEO of Nation Media Group.
Among the solutions that the bank showcased at the conference was the NCBA Water Loan. The water loan was developed in partnership with Water.org, a global NGO offering technical support to players in the water ecosystem.

Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eric Mugaa said, “In the past two and a half years, joint efforts have increased national water and sanitation coverage from 70 to 73 per cent, and improved sanitation access from 67 to 69 per cent.”
