NCBA unveils cohort 3 of its internship program

NCBA has launched Cohort III of its Go-Getter Internship Programme. This is a 12-month program that will provide 50 young graduates with skills, mentorship, and exposure to the corporate world.

The program aims to give graduates a first-hand corporate experience while giving top performing interns a chance to be included in the banks’ talent pipeline for upcoming positions.

The Go-Getter Internship Programme was launched in 2023 with 44 graduates but has since expanded to 50 graduates. The program is the bank’s deliberate step towards bridging the gap between academic achievement & professional readiness. The program runs for 12 months and gives the interns hands-on experience in the various bank departments.

John Gachora, the Group Managing Director of NCBA, said, “The Go-Getter Internship Programme reflects our belief that the future of our economy lies in the potential of our youth. By providing hands-on experience and strategic mentorship, we are building a workforce that is ready to lead and innovate the next generation.”

The Go-Getter Internship Programme is part of NCBA’s broader commitment to sustainable talent development under its “Change the Story” sustainability platform.

For one to be considered for the program, you have to meet certain criteria which includes having graduated within the past 12 months. Achieving a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division in their undergraduate studies and obtaining at least a B minus in Mathematics and English in their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
