Safaricom Sambaza Furaha campaign to spread the cheer in Nairobi

The Safaricom Sambaza Furaha campaign has brought the festive spirit early for thousands of Nairobi residents, as the telco spreads joy and holiday cheer across the capital.

Residents of the Nairobi Region will be treated to Christmas cheer this week. The festive caravan is embarking on a week-long tour across the region, offering a variety of delights including live goats, chicken, food hampers, and airtime among others to spread the holiday spirit.

The Sambaza Furaha caravan kicked off in Kenyatta Market making its way to Kawangware56, Kawangware46, Satellite, Dagoretti Corner and Kibera DC. It rewarded customers with goodies while also bringing essential customer care services closer to the community through franchise shop openings.

Dr Peter Ndegwa Safaricom CEO, said, “Today, as we flag off the 4th leg of the Safaricom Sambaza furaha campaign here in Nairobi, we are reminded of the powerful role that connectivity plays in enriching lives and spreading joy across Kenya. We are happy to spread joy to Kenyans. Sambaza Furaha is about celebrating our customers with great delights. We also aim to educate and commit to our customers that privacy is very important. Rift Valley was good, the Mountain region was superb, and I must say that Greater Western was electric, we are looking forward to having a good time in the Nairobi region.”

Umi Salim expressed her excitement after being gifted a goat to celebrate Christmas with her family. She said: “I honestly don’t know how to thank Safaricom enough for this generous gift. It feels good that Safaricom has remembered us as customers especially during this festive season. Receiving a goat to celebrate Christmas has made me so happy, as my family now has something special to enjoy during this festive season.”

Beyond spreading holiday cheer, Safaricom will also be engaging in various community activities during the Sambaza Furaha caravan tour. These include digital skills workshops for the youth courtesy of Safaricom Hook in Eastlands and the M-Pesa Foundation Medical Camp Community Feeding Program in Mathare.
