Appearance
Both phones have smooth rounded edges and a glass front, a plastic frame and back. When it comes to weight, we find that the Tecno Spark 9 Pro is slimmer and weighs slightly less which makes it much easier to handle than the Samsung Galaxy A04s.
The Spark 9 Pro comes with a 6.6 inch HD (1080 x 2460) LCD display while the Samsung Galaxy A04s comes with a 6.5 inches HD (720 x 1600 pixels) LCD display. On this front you will definitely get a better view on the Spark 9 Pro due to the bigger screen size and better pixels.
Both screens delivered when it came to consumption of multimedia content such as movies, Youtube and social media sites such as Instagram and Facebook. However, the Spark 9 Pro had an edge due to the better and bigger screen and higher pixels.
Camera
The Tecno Spark 9 Pro comes with a triple camera setup at the back with the main camera being a f/1.6 50 MP primary sensor, 2 MP (depth) and QVGA. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy A04S rocks a 50 MP f/1.8 (wide), 2 MP (macro) and 2 MP (depth). The Tecno Spark 9 Pro rocks a 32 MP front camera, Samsung Galaxy A04s comes with a 5 MP selfie camera.
On this aspect, the Tecno Spark 9 Pro has a slight upper hand given its selfie camera while the main cameras have similar specs.
Performance
The Tecno Spark 9 Pro runs on a MediaTek MT6769Z Helio G85 (12nm) processor and has the Android 12, HIOS 8.6 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A04s comes with a Exynos 850 (8nm) processor, Android 12 , One UI Core 4 and 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage
The Spark 9 Pro handled multiple tasks with ease but the Samsung Galaxy A04s lagged a behind in light, moderate and heavy usage due to its slower processor. In terms of performance, the Tecno Spark 9 Pro clearly trumps the Samsung Galaxy A04S which is understandable given the better processor.
Battery
Both phones come with a 5000 mAh battery as such they are evenly matched on this aspect. A full battery can take you a full day on heavy usage on both units.
However, the Tecno Spark 9 Pro comes with a fast charging brick at 18W whereas the Samsung Galaxy A04s has 18W. As such, on matters fast charging, the Spark 9 Pro trumps the Samsung Galaxy A04s.
Conclusion
The Tecno Spark 9 Pro clearly trumps the Samsung Galaxy A04s when it comes to matters performance, camera, screen and fast charging. As such, I have no choice but to declare Tecno Spark 9 Pro as the clear winner in this duel.
